Current table-toppers Kolkata Knight Riders looked to be in trouble after two quick dismissals by Delhi bowlers Harshal Patel and Sandeep Lamichhane as run rate dropped well under six. Chris Lynn too looked to be trouble in the game and Kagiso Rabada made the most of it with a shorter delivery in the seventh over. He angled it down to the leg side as Lynn looked to pull it over square leg only to glove the ball. The ball flew towards the left and Pant leaped high to pull
Delhi Capitals wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant pulled off a stunning one-handed catch to complete the dismissal of Kolkata Knight Riders batsman Chris Lynn in the IPL 2019 match at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium on Saturday evening (March 30). Lynn departed for a score of 20 runs after facing 18 deliveries in the match.
Pant’s Wrong decision
Earlier at the start of KKR’s innings, Pant’s wrong decision cost Delhi a review against a catch-out appeal against Nikhil Naik, who was introduced by KKR in the playing XI in place of an injured Sunil Narine.
For KKR, they managed to pull off 12 runs from the first over against Rabada, before their run rate dropped to four. And after the frustration following an array of dot balls and singles, KKR lost Naik to Lamichhane before Harshal dismissed Robin Uthappa.
KKR have won both their games in IPL 2019 riding on the heroism from Andre Russell, while Delhi Capitals have won one and lost the other so far in the season. They have defeated Mumbai Indians in their opener before losing to Chennai Super Kings at home earlier this week. They presently stand fourth in the points table with two points from two games.
