The first ODI between India and Australia at Hyderabad saw the hosts chasing down 238 by six wickets take a 1-0 lead in the five match series. It was an unbeaten 141-run stand for the fifth wicket between MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav which saw them getting over the line comfortably in the end with 10 balls to spare.
Indian Vice Captain Rohit Sharma missed out on a big score having scored 37 off 66 balls before getting dismissed completely against the run of play in the first ODI at Hyderabad. The right hander however was spotted practicing hard in the nets for the second ODI in a recent video shared by the BCCI. In the short video shared by BCCI’s official Twitter handle, Rohit was seen in full control with his body balance, footwork and timing looking absolutely impeccable ahead of the encounter.

Rohit looked really crisp in his defence and his drives and even played the pull shot, his favourite to perfection. Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Rohit’s opening partner Shikhar Dhawan were also spotted practicing hard in the other two nets ahead of the all important encounter.
Speaking of Rohit’s records at the VCA Stadium in Nagpur, Rohit has all the reasons to be optimistic. Rohit has scored 204 runs in two ODIs against Australia at the venue at a staggering average of 102.00, including a 109-ball 125 versus the men in yellow in the fifth and final ODI in the home series of 2017. The 31 year old will be looking to replicate the same when he steps out to bat against the Aussies at the venue on Tuesday.
