Today’s fixture between Adelaide Strikers (STR) vs Sydney Thunders (THU) was awesome to watch. It brings the high voltage cricket Adelaide Oval stadium for the cricket fans. Both the teams did the tremendous performance to win the match in BBL.
While playing first Adelaide Strikers (STR) strike the average total of 159 runs in the 20 overs. Whereas, opponents Sydney Thunders (THU) failed to achieve the target and lost by six runs on the last ball of the match.
Having glanced at Sydney’s batting lineup target was quite easy for the Thunders to chase. Unfortunately, the result goes opposite to the club and lost the match by just single-digit score. Three wickets were in the hands but it was not enough to win the game.
Australian opener Usman Khawaja enters the stadium to open for THU along with Alex Hales. Both did a total of 17 runs together and Alex lose his wicket. Further, Khawaja carried the innings with the help of skipper Ferguson (22 runs of 18 balls) and did the 50 runs partnership.

Double run-out for first time in BBL
For the first time in this season of the BBL
Green was the delivering his spell in the 10th over and batsmen smashed the massive stroke in the front direction. Then ball kissed the bowlers hand slightly and hit to the stump. Batsmen named Weatherald standing at non-striker position was ready to leave the crease for having the run.
Because of which bat was in the air and bowl hits the stump. In the very next second keeper end batsmen left the crease to complete the run and non-striker end batsmen once again caught in danger at keeper end.
Sam Billings making no mistake collect the ball thrown towards him and put himself in air to get batsmen runout. Fortunately, batsmen Weatherald was out on both the ends as it cleared by the third umpire on TV screen.
Here is the video of double run out:
At that time Weatherald was playing on the 31 runs and minor mistake from his side brings an excellent inning to end. Along with him P.Salt and skipper T.Head score the similar score that too of Weatherald. Three of them contributed the 90 runs from the total.
Beside them Alex Carey and Gibson also did their work with bat and scored 29 & 22 runs respectively. Hence, it was not the satisfactory total from STR but their luck was with them which helps them to have a win over THU.
