Team India pulled off yet another clinical performance in the ongoing ODI series against New Zealand to take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five match series. The men in blue chased the target of 244 set by New Zealand in their first innings comfortably bu 7 wickets to clinch their first series win in New Zealand in 10 years. It was once again a lackluster performance from the hosts, who have failed to get going in the series.
A hilarious incident in the 34th over of India’s run chase when left arm spinner Mitchell Santner was operating. Mitchell Santner was bowling a tight line to Ambati Rayudu trying to tempt him into making a mistake by making him go for the lofted shot. He was flighting the ball nicely and Rayudu seemed a bit reluctant to play his shots.

He played out three dots in a row in the first three balls of the over before Virat Kohli was heard uttering something to him over the stump mic.
“Yeh Jaan Bhuj Ke Daal Raha Hain; Taki Tu Bahar Nikal Ke Maare” the Indian skipper was recorded saying on the stump mic which translates to
“He’s Purposely Bowling There So That You Can Step Out And Hit Him” in English.
Rayudu immediately obeyed the skipper’s instruction and slammed the very next ball for a boundary in the cover region from the crease. Santner was shocked to see his plan failing so badly thanks to Virat Kohli’s advice.
