All the hue and cry surrounding mankading is not going to end anytime time soon as viewers witnessed yet another bizarre incident during the second leg clash between the Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Friday. The mode of dismissal has created a lot of buzz after Ashwin did it to Buttler and several former and current players, fans and experts have made their feelings known about it since then. It was none other than RCB skipper Virat Kohli who came up with his own version of the incident this time around.
It all happened during the 19th over of the innings when Narine was bowling to Marcus Stoinis with Virat Kohli at the non striker’s end. Narine appeared to stop in the middle of his delivery stride and Kohli made use of the opportunity to give his own hilarious take of the mode of dismissal as he held his bat deep inside his crease giving a wry smile to Narine who was lining up to bowl the next delivery.

Meanwhile, Kohli brought up his 5th IPL ton and first of IPL 2019 to anchor RCB past the 200 run mark. Kohli smashed 9 fours and 4 sixes as RCB finished with 213/4 in their alloted quota of 20 overs. The RCB skipper took up the responsibility in the absence of AB De Villiers and made sure he played through the innings before bringing up his century in just 57 balls.
