Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli is still looking for his first victory as captain in the 12th edition of IPL. Virat Kohli and company have lost six consecutive matches since IPL 2019 began. Royal Challengers Bangalore have lost a couple of close encounters mostly because of their poor fielding and batting performances and are currently seeking some inspiration ahead of their upcoming fixture against Kings XI Punjab at Mohali on April 13.
Virat Kohli has been practicing hard with his team-mates in the nets as they are desperate to win a match for their franchise and their fans. The RCB skipper was seen in beast mode as he practiced a few unorthodox shots in the nets like reverse sweep and a unique paddle. He took on the spinners in the nets at Mohali and looked to time the ball from the middle of the bat.
Virat Kohli has always amazed everyone with his performance in both international cricket and IPL. He is one of the highest run getters in the history of the tournament alongside Chennai Super Kings’ Suresh Raina. Kohli has scored 5,151 runs from 169 matches at a healthy average of 38.15 also including four centuries and 35 fifties. Kohli’s four centuries are the joint highest as he shares the record with Sunrisers Hyderabad’s David Warner.
Royal Challengers Bangalore however are languishing at the bottom of the points table as they have zero points beside their name. They are the only team in this season who have not won a single match. RCB have been the most unsuccessful team in the history of the IPL alongside Delhi Capitals and Kings XI Punjab. Virat Kohli and Co have never won an IPL trophy since the tournament started in 2008, a record they will like to overturn in the coming seasons.
