Claudio Bravo-6

Didn’t get much chance to showcase his ability to stop the shots as he was assisted well from the Manchester City defenders. He was involved in some passes at the back.

However, there are still concerns about his judgment coming off his line as Salomon Rondon almost nicked a Goal.

Aleksander Kolarov-6

Did solid work at the back apart from one apart from one poor decision in the first half when he shepherd a ball out for a goal kick and not managing it. Played well along jones as he came to centre at few occasions to assist jones and did good work with Nolito in front of him. Still committed silly fouls at the back which lead to a booking and an avoidable set piece.

John Stones-7

Had a decent game. Looked like he has learned from his mistakes from last game. Didn’t really do much with Fernandinho in front.

Missed an absolute sitter. But did a good job to bring the ball to midfield from the backlines.

Nicolas Otamendi-7

Performed well at the back and made sure no player gets through him easily. Also, came off his feet at few moments in the match. Did well in partnership with stones. Looked more composed in the second half.

Fernando-6

Had to deal with the pressure of playing out of his comfort zone because he was played out of position at right back. He was booked at an occasion when he was caught with high foot on James McClean. He was good at defending and was also involved in some moves with Sterling.

Fernandinho-8

Great display of both offence and defence as he looked fully charged in the match and gave it all he had. He was always found in the right place as he did an excellent job in positioning himself. Also ,emerged in the offence few times and did good job securing possession. He kept the ball moving and was one of the major reason behind the steady display by the team.

Manchester City

Ikkay Gundogan-9

Delivered a sessional performance specially in the first half. Gave a good pass to Aguero in the first half which led to the first breakthrough. Did well with position and looked absolutely comfortable playing in his new teammates. Looks like Gundogan

is finally settling in the team. Scored two goals in the second half which means he looks determined to cement his position in the starting line-up.

Raheem Sterling-7

Appeared to be great threat in the first 20 minutes. He was involved in some early crosses and managed to get a fantastic left-footed volley which was saved by Foster. Contributed well in offence but also took some wild shots out of the box out of frustration.

Nolito-7

Looked determined throughout his game and almost netted the ball in one occasion but was unlucky. Gave a bad reaction to referee for a foul which lead to a silly booking. Though he was lucky just to get yellow not a red. Blocked shots of his own team mates which was disappointing for the whole team. He was subbed in 68 minutes for De bryune.

David Silva-8

The creative Spaniard well putting himself into tackles and moved the play alongside Fernandinho and Gundogan. Started second half well as he was able to glide around Gundogan and also Dug in well  and picked up few passes when West brom started to show up.

Sergio Aguero-9(MOM)

He finally showed Pep and Manchester City fan his worth an excellent display by scoring two goals. An absolutely clinical finish when put through by Gundogan, shooting across the keeper, was followed up by a rocket into the top corner which would’ve beaten any keeper in the world. His assist for Gundogan was fantastic as he showed brilliant vision to clip the ball to the German to set him in on goal after creating the space for the midfielder to find himself behind the defensive backline. He was lethal in the first hour of the match and puzzled the opposition with his incredible ability to torture the defence.
