What does Ed Woodward have in mind for the winter transfer window?

Ed Woodward has spoken to the Glazers and plans to bring 3 major changes in the Manchester United squad during the winter transfer window.

Manchester United are presently fifth in the Premier League table and five points behind Chelsea. After defeating Tottenham and Manchester City, the fans are delighted. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been persuaded of his situation at the club despite the availability of Mauricio Pochettino. This acknowledgment is backed by making funds available for the Norweigan. The two primary targets for Ed Woodward are Athletico Madrid’s Saul and Red Bull Salzburg’s Erling Braut Haaland.

The third target is Donny van de Beek. Although, a move for the Dutchman seems impossible as Real Madrid are ready to pounce on the player when the season ends.

Solskjaer was also quoted saying: “This week might cause people to talk a bit less, and for me, it’s always more fun to talk about things other than critique or speculations. I find it unnecessary when I know what we are doing and trying to do, and what we have planned going forward.”

Solskjaer added more responsibility to Marcus Rashford at the start of the season by choosing not to replace the outgoing Romelu Lukaku. Fortunately, Rashford has been playing excellently well in the past few weeks.

Solskjaer’s faith in his players.

Solskjaer said “If we can keep these boys injury-free, we will take lots of points — and we are going to reinforce the squad. It is physically tough to play football the way I want to play football. But we are on our way to becoming as robust as I want and need. These boys have the right attitude, they have the belief, they are boys that I want to keep going forward, that’s why they are here right now.”

Although, in Milan, Romelu Lukaku has found his form back in Italy. The Belgian has scored 12 goals for the Inter Milan. They failed to grab a place in the UCL Round of 16, the Italians would be very happy with their striker. As for the 22-year-old, Marcus Rashford, he has now scored 10 league goals in 16 matches to equal his best tally in a United shirt. With 13 to his name in all the tournaments, an additional goal would give him his best season ever.

Manchester United’s final game is against AZ Alkmaar as they finish the group stage matches of the UEFA Europa League. As things stand, Manchester United will qualify for the Round of 16 even if they lose this fixture. Club Brugge, Olympiacos, Shakhtar Donetsk, Bayer Leverkusen, RB Salzburg, Inter Milan, SL Benfica, and Ajax also come into the league. They finished at the 3rd position in their UCL Group Stages.
