WI vs ENG: The ongoing Test series between West Indies cricket team and England cricket team didn’t live up to the expectations of the fans. Both teams pushed each other to the core but there was hardly any fighting spirit in terms of going for a win.
The first two Tests between both teams ended in a draw. Several experts criticized the dead pitches and the results were there for everyone to see. England and West Indies were in the game in all five days of the two games due to the behaviour of the pitch.
As a result, both teams settled for a draw in the first two games. The third and final Test match will kick off on March 24 at National Cricket Stadium, St George’s, Grenada.
Fans are eagerly waiting for the final showdown which is only less than two days away from getting underway. It remains to be seen how England cricket team will approach the deciding fixture.
The visiting team haven’t made a telling impact so far against West Indies. Earlier, they surrendered at the hands of West Indies in the five-match T20I series. West Indies won the series by 3-2.
As far as the standings are concerned, West Indies are placed at the eighth position with 18 points (25%). On the other hand, England are still languishing at the bottom of the ICC World Test Championship points table. They managed to gain only 18 points (13.64%).

Meanwhile, the hosts have named unchanged squad for the deciding fixture against England. For the unversed, all-rounder Kyle Mayers and uncapped fast bowler Anderson Phillip remain on the 13-man list.
Cricket West Indies selectors were mighty impressed with the way hosts went about their business in the ongoing Test series against England. As a result, they decided to stick to the same squad.
Meanwhile, West Indies have a great chance to finish the home series in a grand fashion. The winner of the third Test will win the series. England haven’t won a Test series in the Caribbean Islands since 2004. The hosts would like to keep the record intact by playing consistent brand of cricket. However, the home team haven’t registered a single win in their last 4 Test series.
“We really appreciated the fighting spirit from the batting department, we decided to stick with the same squad and want to see them continue to give a big effort in the third Test match,” said chief selector Desmond Haynes.
“We were very impressed with the captain Kraigg Brathwaite showing the fight in the both innings and the way he led from the front with the bat,” chief selector further added.
