On the latest edition of Jerry “The King” Lawler’s talk show “Dinner with the King”, Lawler admitted that The Undertaker was present backstage at the recently concluded Survivor Series.

Lawler also revealed that apart from the Undertaker, Kane also made a backstage appearance for the event. Lawler spoke about The Undertaker’s present condition after the hip surgery and admitted that “he looked too good”. Here is Lawler’s entire say on the subject:

“I think he might have looked too good,” I think when you get when you hang around or you show up and you look that good, they in the WWE, they’re ready for you to come back. You know, closer to the time after WrestleMania and I think I said that I believe we’ve seen the last of Undertaker in the ring.”

Lawler admitted that he feels The Undertaker still has a few more matches left in him, after seeing his recent state.
The Undertaker was last seen in a heartbreaking loss at WrestleMania 33 to “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns. He left the WWE Universe puzzled after leaving his gear in the middle of the ring, many took this as a notion that “The Phenom” finally decided to call it a day.

The in-ring status of the Undertaker is still not known since there has been no official statement regarding his retirement by the company.

Recently, it was announced that the Undertaker would be a part of WWE’s Monday Night flagship show, RAW’s 25th anniversary. The role assigned to the Undertaker yet to be revealed. Possibilities range from a regular cameo to an angle for a potential WrestleMania match.

Author’s take:

The Undertaker’s final WrestleMania appearance left several fans with mixed feelings. This is the first instance that the Undertaker has been associated with the company ever since his major hip surgery. With the predictable buzz about a potential WrestleMania match not far away, WWE could make amends right by giving the Undertaker a farewell to remember and by virtue giving the fans a dream match. The likes of Finn Balor, AJ Styles and John Cena are the few candidates who can help the Undertaker finish off in style.
