Yuvraj Singh tries to troll Parthiv Patel, gets badly trolled in reply

Indian wicketkeeper Parthiv Patel was a part of the Indian test squad which lifted the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia for the first time in their history. The 33 year old, who failed to get any game time during the entire test series, had a mixed outing on his return to domestic cricket. Parthiv captained Gujarat in the quarter finals of the Ranji Trophy against Kerala at the Krishnagiri Stadium in Wayanad, Kerala. The match however was eventually won by the hosts by 113 runs.

Gujarat, the winners of the 2017-18 Ranji Trophy, had finished third in Elite Group A with 26 points from 8 matches in which they had won 3 and managed to secure a draw in 5 before losing to Kerala in the knockouts. Pathiv Patel was seemingly quite happy with his team making it to the quarter finals and even took to Instagram to upload a picture in which the pocket sized dynamite can be seen heading to Kerala for the crucial encounter.

“Back to Gujarat for Ranji trophy knockouts…off to Wayanad (Kerala)…” the 33 year old’s instagram post read.

Yuvraj Singh decided to take a slight dig a him, commenting that he was looking forward to some strong appeals from Parthiv from behind the stumps even when the batsman had not knicked the ball.

Tagging Axar Patel, Patel’s teammate, Yuvraj wrote, “@akshar.patel he’s ready for some big shouts when batsman has not nicked it.”

Parthiv came up with the perfect response to Yuvraj’s dig, commenting that he would have loved to do the same when Yuvraj was batting had Punjab made it to the knockouts of the Ranji Trophy. Punjab could only win two of their eight matches and ended with 23 points which saw them getting subsequently knocked out of the ongoing edition of the Ranji Trophy. For a change, it was Parthiv Patel who had the last laugh with Yuvi Paji at the receiving end.

“@youviofficial can’t wait.. would have love to shout when you are batting.. oh wait Punjab didn’t go thru to knockouts.. isn’t it?,” Parthiv replied.

It was Axar Patel who ended the conversation with a hilarious mouth-shut emoji. “@yuviofficial mouth-shut emoji,” he wrote.
