Real Madrid fans couldn’t have asked for a better transfer window and it seems that the team is in no mood to rest yet with Liverpool star linked with a move.
Zinedine Zidane has come back to Real Madrid and how! After a forgettable season, Florentino Perez has decided to fall back on what he knows best. The renowned ‘Galactico’ policy has been revived. The addition of superstars like Eden Hazard and over €300 mil spend, brings back the memories of 2009. But the Spanish media are reporting that business might not be done yet. Los Blancos, apparently, have their eyes on a Champions League winner and are willing to offer Liverpool one of their own in return.
Real Madrid will offer Marco Asensio to Liverpool in their attempt to sign Sadio Mane. Real have been repeatedly linked with a move for Mane and are ready to step up their interest in the 27-year-old. However, the latest reports from Spain suggest the Frenchman is prepared to give the Spaniard a chance to revive his career. Zizou believes that Asensio has a future at the club and is willing to help back to his best.
The Real Madrid manager has been an admirer of the youngster for a while. After rejoining the Royal Whites last season he had rubbished rumours linking Asensio away from the Bernabeu.“I have spoken to him and told him that he will be fundamental to the team. And I want him here with us,” was his response.
Mane on his future
Sadio Mane has also been on the receiving end of questions on his future. However, he seems to have made his stance clear after the season end. “Of course I want to be a legend, not only for Liverpool but also in the Premier League story and that is one of my targets. I will do everything possible to achieve everything possible,” Mane said.
“Reaching 100 games means a lot to me. To play this many games for a club like Liverpool is incredible. Like I have always said, I am very happy to play for this club and every single day I am enjoying being here and trying to do everything to win something for this club.”
Real Madrid and Zidane are more happy to keep hold of Marco Asensio. The Spaniard is still young and has bundles of potential. While he has had a quite season, the return of Zidane might help him regain his mojo. And Liverpool, on the other hand, are under no obligation to sell their best players. Considering everything, these rumours might whittle out just as quickly as they emerged.
