Check Out: Zlatan joins Messi and Ronaldo in the 500 club!

Zlatan scored 500th goal of his career in the most Zlatan way possible.

LA Galaxy star Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 36, scored the 500th goal of his career for club and country on Saturday night in an exemplary style at the BMO Field, Toronto.

With his 500th goal, Ibrahimovic becomes the only active player to join the “500 plus goal club” with Messi and Ronaldo leading with more than 600 senior club and international goals

The Swedish striker whipped in the goal with a roundhouse kick on the volley from Jonathan dos Santos’ pass in the 43rd minute to reach the milestone.

With Toronto playing really well had jumped out to a 3-0 first-half lead at BMO Field before Ibrahimovic’s goal ignited a furious Galaxy rally that saw a tie game by the 58th minute. Toronto replied it back with two more goals to win 5-3.

“Obviously, it’s not good to lose but I’m happy for Toronto because they’ll be remembered as my 500th victim,” Ibrahimovic told TSN after the game.

Prior to this splendid performance, Ibrahimovic has 747 appearances, scoring 438 goals for teams like Inter Milan, Juventus, Barcelona, and LA Galaxy to name a few.

Also considering his international form, he has appeared 114 times for Sweden, with 62 goals.

Here are some reactions to Zlatan’s achieving this extraordinary feat in an extraordinary manner.

And of course, last but not the least ‘The God of Goals’
